A season for the ages came to an official close Sunday night with the girls basketball awards ceremony.
Coach Mitch Wainwright, a former history teacher, said he asked the girls before the season ended, “What do you want your story to say? How do you want it to end?”

The girls were treated to cutting down the net in the gym, each getting to keep a piece.
