Mineral Point High School inducted new members into the Al Bauman Wrestling Hall of Fame Friday, December 10 during the match vs. Boscobel. The duo was set to be inducted during last year’s wrestling season but was unable to because of the pandemic.

Greg and Mary Kay Sullivan

Greg and Mary Kay have been involved with the Mineral Point Wrestling Program for over 50 years.

Greg started wrestling in the Mineral Point Youth Program in 5th grade. He continued wrestling through his senior year of high school. He was a varsity letter winner in 1974 and 1975. Mary Kay is a member of the Yager Wrestling Family. She was involved with Mineral Point Wrestling through her family at a very young age as well.

After high school, Greg and Mary Kay continued to be active supporters of the program. Greg served as President of the Wrestling Club. Mary Kay has worked at numerous wrestling tournaments including the Mineral Point Youth Wrestling Tournament for many years. Both Greg and Mary Kay have been involved in many fundraisers for the Wrestling Club.

Greg and Mary Kay were also very active in the Mineral Point Youth Program, providing rides to tournaments for many young men. Their son, Gary, was a two-time WIAA State Champion in 1998 and 1999. Their son, Danny, was also a WIAA State Champion in 2007. Greg and Mary Kay have two daughters, Erika and Becky, who were active in the program as well.

Greg and Mary Kay have grandchildren involved in the sport, either as wrestlers or managers. This represents the 3rd generation of wrestling for the Sullivan family.

Greg and Mary Kay reside in Mineral Point and have remained active supporters of the Mineral Point Wrestling Program to the present day.
