The Board will hold a special meeting Monday, December 28 to look at the latest data before families return from Winter Break and reassess the need for virtual learning at that time.
The Board heard a report from the Reopening Advisory Committee recommending this extension of virtual learning, based on the current COVID numbers locally and involving students and staff, the expressed desire for consistency vs. switching back and forth between instructional models, and the realization that many families will be gathering for the holidays.

Other business —
The Board continued its discussion around winter sports, but made no changes to the previously voted upon plan of beginning winter sports on time and having no fans in the stands through at least December.
The Board will discuss winter sports again at its Monday, December 14 regular meeting.
www.pointermedia.org will be offering live streaming of home winter sports.
Of note, Dodgeville has paused winter sports (practices and competitions) until Monday, December 7 to re-evaluate. This impacts our Dodge-Point Gymnastics program.
