State Representative Sondy Pope (D-Cross Plains) visited the first grade classrooms of Mineral Point Elementary Wednesday, December 15.
As the ranking member on the Assembly Committee on Education, and a member of the Legislative Task Force on Urban Education, she is highly invested in our state’s public education and is constantly investigating the successes and struggles of our local schools.
In honor of American Education Week, which was held in November, Pope desired to learn more about the schools in her district and extended invitations to shadow teachers. These opportunities would allow schools to showcase what makes them special, or speak about challenges the legislature can help them overcome.
