The Mineral Point MS/HS Trap Team competed at the Wisconsin State High School Clay Target League State Tournament in Nekoosa Sunday in the 2A Division.
The Pointers placed an impressive 3rd as a team for Varsity with 477 points, just behind Runner-Up Melrose-Mindoro with 484, and Champion Ashland-Washburn at 485!
Individually:
– Our top shooter in the Varsity Male category was Kasen Knight placing 2nd with a 99, just one point behind champion Hudson Hauden of River Valley who was perfect at 100!
– Our top shooter in the JV Female category was Scarlett Raab placing 10th
– Our top shooter in the JV Male category was Ridge Peterson placing 22nd
– Our top shooter in the Novice Male category was Hudson Schaaf placing 30th
– Our top shooter in the Novice Female category was Autumn Robb placing 32nd
– Our top shooter in the Varsity Female category was Kylie Bennett placing 55th
Other honors:
– Kasen Knight received an award for shooting 75 in a row at State, one of only four to do so!
– Trent Culver, Garren Dochnahl, Preston Dolphin, Logan Gould, Ridge Peterson, and Emmitt Steffes all received recognition for shooting 25 in a row at State.
All-State:
– Zander Simenson has been named an All-State Shooter! This list recognizes the top 100 shooters in the state based on their season average.
