A tradition unlike any other! Our storied #PointerNation Wrestling history book adds two more WIAA State Champions and places six on the podium at the Individual State Tournament!
— 1st: Roen Carey 144 ( 11-0 over Ty Dennee of Crandon). This is Roen’s first State title after finishing as runner-up the past three years.
— 1st: Kade Rule 165 (9-5 over Nash Banko of Oostburg). This is Kade’s second straight State title after placing 3rd as a sophomore.
We now have 60 total Individual State Wrestling Champions (58 boys titles, 2 girls). This is more than any other school in the state.
A big congrats also to our State Runner-Up!
— 2nd: Dealya Collins 126 (lost 17-2 to Madi Peach of Milton – defending State Champion). This is the second straight year Dealya has finished as runner-up after placing 3rd as a freshman.
We also placed three additional Pointers on the podium!
— 4th: Memphis Burkhalter 106 (lost 12-1 to Taylor Underwood of Marathon).
— 6th: Liam Carey 120 (lost 16-0 to Martez Sheard of La Crosse Aquinas).
— 6th: Jacob Dannenberg 150 (lost 13-1 to Brock Hinderman of Iowa-Grant/Highland).
Kudos, also, to Emily Heisner, Emmett Collins, Elliot Kite, and Sammy Springer for their fine showings at State — the future is bright!
We are #PointerNation proud!
