Another prestigious honor has come to the Mineral Point girls basketball team.
In addition to winning the Division 4 WIAA State Championship, it was announced this week the team earned Academic All-State honors from the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association.
The Lady Pointers placed 3rd in Division 4 with a 3.698 GPA behind 1st place Abbotsford (3.851) and 2nd place Edgar (3.73).
Jessica Schultz was named to the Individual All-State Academic Team.
This is the 3rd year in a row a Pointer basketball team has earned All-State Academic honors. In 2014, the Mineral Point Boys Basketball Team was 3rd in Division 4 and in 2015 they were 2nd.
