What attracted you to apply in #PointerNation?: I am most enthusiastic about being the school nurse at the Mineral Point Unified School District because I will have the opportunity to be a part of encouraging healthy choices for and by the kids in my hometown. I am excited to get to know more students and teachers at the school where my children attend and to expand and share my nursing knowledge in a community nursing setting.
Quotable: “I have been a registered nurse for over nine years and have found community health and preventative care continue to be areas of interest for me. I believe developing healthy habits must begin at a young age for people to be successful at maintaining healthy lifestyles as adults. Children should receive education that empowers them to make healthy choices and be encouraged and celebrated along the way.”
