
The Mineral Point School Board held its regular monthly meeting Monday night.

Recognized the following accomplishments:
— Senior Football All-Stars

— The Board unanimously approved (with Will Harris absent) the consent agenda, which includes bills payable, credit card statement, meeting minutes, and committee reports. (Go to the two minute mark)
— The Board reviewed the Technology Budget. (Go to the five minute mark)
— The Board heard an update regarding the High School Math Teacher vacancy. (Go to the 14 minute, 30 second mark)
— The Board unanimously approved (with Harris absent) the District Safety Response Booklet, Employee Handbook, and High School Athletic Handbook. (Go to the 19 minute, 30 second mark)
— The Board discussed upcoming Board Business including:
- Staff Welcome Breakfast, August 25
- Board Strategic Planning meeting, August 25
- Board/Staff Collaboration meeting, September 15

- Posting for an additional section of 4th Grade due to large class size and academic needs
- Hiring of Neil Lawinger, Elementary Food Service
- Hiring of Tony Dahl, Elementary Principal and Summer School Coordinator
- Promotion of Brooke McGraw from Middle/High School Assistant Principal to Middle School Principal
- Hiring of Jenny Wahlin, Middle School Instructional Assistant
- Hiring of Fontana Soderstrom, Elementary Instructional Assistant
- Alycia Hathaway, Elementary Instructional Assistant
