Mineral Point School District is anxiously anticipating celebrating its 2022 Homecoming September 26th through October 1st.
This year’s theme is “There’s No Place Like Home.”

- Middle school dress up day: Class Color Day (6th grade: Pink, 7th grade: Green, 8th grade: Red)
- Elementary school dress up day: Poppy Field PJ Day (cozy pajamas)
- JV Football vs. Darlington 5 pm
- MS Volleyball vs. River Valley 4 pm
Tuesday 9/27
- High school dress up day: Calendar Day (Freshmen: Easter, Sophomores: St. Patrick’s Day, Juniors: Valentine’s Day, Seniors: Halloween, Staff: 4th of July)
- Middle school dress up day: Mathletes vs. Athletes
- Elementary school dress up day: That’s a Horse of a Different Color Day (wear bright colors)
- MS Volleyball vs. Cuba City 4 pm
- Boys Soccer vs. Driftless United at Dodgeville (JV 5 pm, Varsity to follow)
Wednesday 9/28
- High school dress up day: There’s No Place Like Home Day (Freshmen: Munchkins, Sophomores: Flying Monkeys, Juniors: Elements, Seniors: Crew, Staff: Witches & Wizards)
- Middle school dress up day: Actor/Celebrity Day
- Elementary school dress up day: Wicked Witch Day (silly socks & hats)
Thursday 9/29
- High school dress up day: Class Color Day (Freshmen: Green, Sophomores: Pink, Juniors: Purple, Seniors: Black, Staff: Blue)
- Middle school dress up day: Past vs. Future Day
- Elementary school dress up day: Lions, Tigers & Bears Oh My Day (favorite team)
- Parade 6:15 pm down High Street (Judy Kroll & Chery Swingen, Parade Marshals)
- Anyone may enter a unit in the parade by calling and leaving a message with Mr. Matt Nevers at 608-987-0739, Ext. 472 or emailing matt.nevers@mp.k12.wi.us. You can also sign up using this Google Form: forms.gle/hyfuSuHAnA7RnCgg6
- Entries should be in no later than Wednesday, September 28 to allow enough time to distribute the parade line-up to all involved. The parade order will be made public on the day of the parade, as last-minute changes do occur. Floats may be pulled by a car or truck, and the driver must have a valid WI driver’s license. Written permission from the owner must be registered with Mr. Nevers. No three or four-wheelers will be allowed in the parade and we ask that you refrain from throwing candy as it creates a hazardous situation for youngsters. Class floats can have 6-8 students riding and drivers of floats must have a valid regular driver’s license (19 years old and older) and proof of insurance turned into the high school office a week before the parade.

- Elementary school dress up day: There’s No Place Like Home Day (hometown colors — Pointer Pride)
- Varsity Football vs. Belleville 7 pm
Saturday 10/1
- Dance 8 pm to Midnight (Grand March 8:30 pm)
A special invitation is extended to all Pointer Alumni to join in the festivities.
