The School Board held its regular monthly meeting Monday and heard the latest updates regarding the elementary construction project from Tim Ruppert of HSR and Eric Portz of Kraemer Brothers.

Due to the renovation/addition project, K-5 students will now begin school Tuesday, September 7 with 4K and EC starting Thursday, September 9. Middle/High school students will still have their first day Wednesday, September 1. The contractors, Kraemer Brothers, are confident the elementary building will safely be ready for student occupancy by this new date. (A reminder that Wednesdays this school year will continue to be a 2 pm dismissal time for all students).

This adjustment to the start date can be made due to the fact elementary students are required by the state to have less minutes of instruction annually than older students. The last day of the school year is still scheduled for Friday, June 3.
