Making their second WIAA State Tournament appearance, and first since 2016, the Pointers defeated Bangor 66-30 in the Semifinal before dropping the Final 70-66 to Mishicot in a hard-fought contest Friday at the La Crosse Center!
In the Semifinal, the Pointers shot lights out, drilling 13 three-pointers to set a WIAA D4 State Tournament record for most made triples.
The Final saw the Pointers claw back to tie the game late. MP had its chances to take its first lead of the game in the closing minute, but couldn’t quite get over the hump.
