The Mineral Point School District offers a 4-year old kindergarten program (Pre-K). Any child living in the Mineral Point School District who will be 4 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2012 will be eligible to enroll in next year’s Pre-K program.

Who is eligible to enroll in four-year-old kindergarten?
All residents of Mineral Point School District are four years old on or before Sept, 1, 2012 will be eligible to enroll in next year’s program. There are no student ability or family income criteria.
What does the schedule of the four-year-old kindergarten classes look like?
Four-year-old kindergarten classes are Monday through Thursday. Morning classes begin at 8:00 a.m. with afternoon classes beginning at noon.
In the event that Mineral Point School District requires these classes be cancelled, all changes will be communicated with parents/legal guardians as necessary.
Will bus transportation be provided?
Bus transportation is provided. To qualify, the family must live at least 1.5 miles from the designated site.
What is the cost of four-year-old kindergarten?
There is no cost to families to attend the four- year-old kindergarten program.
Who will be teaching the four-year-old kindergarten classes?
Four-year-old kindergarten provides teachers who are certified by the Department of Public Instruction to teach early childhood.
