The Mineral Point School Board held its regular monthly meeting Monday.

— Unanimously approved the consent agenda consisting of minutes, bills payable, credit card statement, and school board committee reports.

— The Board heard a report from the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Team, led by Pupil Services Director Angie Klein.

— The Board heard of the school board election timeline for the April 2026 election. 

The deadline for any incumbent up for election to file non-candidacy paperwork is December 26 at 5 pm. The deadline to file for candidacy is January 6 at 5 pm.

Incumbents whose seats are up in 2026 are Andy Busch and Joni Heisner.

— The Board discussed the upcoming State Education Convention in January in Milwaukee.

— Superintendent Mitch Wainwright presented his monthly budget update.

— The Board unanimously approved a transfer from Fund 46 to Fund 10 in the amount of $22,000 representing a donation from Cummins for the renovations to the high school science labs. Thank you to Cummins for their continued support.
