What attracted you to apply in #PointerNation?: The possibility of becoming more involved in this welcoming, supportive, and caring community is one of the many reasons why I applied. I am also impressed with the positive school culture at the elementary school which has been evident in my own children’s experiences over the past three years. I am grateful for this opportunity to work with the amazing staff and students in the Mineral Point Unified School District.
Quotable: “As a teacher, I think that it is imperative to establish positive and authentic relationships with students. I believe that students need to feel safe and connected to the teachers they work with in order to truly progress in their learning. I strive to create these essential relationships with all of my students and an environment where students feel valued, respected and supported. I am also a very strong advocate for my students, ensuring that all of my students are getting what they need to be successful in and outside of the classroom.”
