The election will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026 for two available seats on the Mineral Point School Board. The term of office for these school board members is three years and begins Monday, April 27, 2026.
Incumbents with terms expiring include Andy Busch and Joni Heisner. Both are eligible to run for another term, if they desire.
For all interested candidates who reside within the boundaries of the Mineral Point Unified School District, a Campaign Finance Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 pm Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in the District Office located at 705 Ross Street.
If a primary is necessary, that will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026. (A primary would be necessary only if there were five or more candidates seeking the two available seats.)
Interested persons should make sure to read the Guide for Candidates from the Wisconsin Association of School Boards.
