Quotable: “The most important aspects of teaching are the relationships that are built and the opportunities that I give my students to further explore their skills. As a teacher, relationships, with both parents and students, are the foundational piece to learning and building a community. My role as the teacher is to put forth effort in getting to know my students, whether it be their needs, interests, or concerns as well as communicate with parents about how their child is doing in my class and address any concerns they may have. If I build trusting relationships with my students, then they will be more comfortable coming to me in a time of need which is more important than learning any content.”
