Tom Ingwell

Elementary Principal

We would like to introduce a familiar face as our next #PointerNation Elementary Principal. Mr. Tom Ingwell has been employed with the District since January 2018 as an Elementary Physical Education Teacher and was previously a Pointer from 2012-14 as an Elementary Instructional Assistant.

Tom is a graduate of Darlington. He earned his Bachelor’s in Physical Education and a minor in Health Education and Adaptive Phy Ed from UW-Platteville in 2002. He also earned his Master’s from UW-Platteville in Cross Categorical (Special Education) in 2017, and plans to earn his Master’s in Public Administration as Principal/Director of Instruction from UW-River Falls in 2024.

His family includes wife, Amanda (MP Elementary Instructional Assistant), and children Brynn, Eliza, Ava, Tyler, and Myles.

“My educational philosophy includes using my strong energetic passion for children’s development and to make a significant difference in students’ overall education. I am motivated to improve school culture and empower staff to continue to provide extraordinary instruction for our youngest learners. I’m approachable, honest, fair, and excited to provide inclusive learning environments. I will continue to do great things at Mineral Point using momentum and moving forward on the plans we have established and empowering our staff to continue to do great for our students and community.”

Brooke McGraw

6-12 Assistant Principal with Middle School Focus

We would like to introduce a familiar face as our #PointerNation 6-12 Assistant Principal with Middle School Focus. Mrs. Brooke McGraw has been employed with the District since 2017, serving in various roles as a Kindergarten Teacher, 1st Grade Teacher, District Instructional Coach, and Middle School Interventionist.
Brooke earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an Inclusion Minor in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2007. In 2011, she earned her Master of Science in Educational Administration, also from UW-Platteville. From Edgewood College, she obtained an Instructional Coaching Certification. She is a Mineral Point native and graduate of MPHS.
Her family includes husband, Bret (MP Middle School Social Studies Teacher), and children Mira and Oakley.
“I am excited for this new opportunity and look forward to continuing to work with the students and staff at Mineral Point Middle School,” she said. “My goal is to continue to form positive connections and build on the many wonderful aspects we have going on at Mineral Point Middle School.”
