The renovation and addition at the elementary school is in month 16 of 18 (or 89% complete), on the “home stretch,” according to Tim Ruppert of HSR Associates, as presented to the School Board at the July monthly meeting Monday evening.

— The meeting began with recognitions of State FFA, State Trap, State Golf, State Track, and Volleyball Academic All-State. (This begins the meeting video)

— The Board discussed possible covid protocols for the 2021-22 school year. Relatedly, the Board heard the latest CDC school guidance and from School Nurse Jayne Lindsey and the District’s Medical Advisor Dr. Sarah Fox. — The Board unanimously approved (with Busch absent) a transfer of $350,000 from Fund 10 to Fund 46. The transfer amount represents a surplus from the 2020-21 school year and will be transferred to the designated fund for capital maintenance. — The Board unanimously approved (with Busch absent) the resignation of Susan Kelm, 2nd Grade Teacher, and thanked her for her 35 years of service to the district.

— The Board unanimously approved (with Busch absent) the credit card statement and bills payable. 

— The Board will hold a retreat July 26 at the Walker House. The next regular meeting will be August 9 with a special meeting scheduled for August 23.
