At a brief special meeting Monday night, the Mineral Point School Board certified the levy for the 2019-20 school year by a 6-0 vote with Larry Steffes absent. (Scroll past the video for more article text)
Although the mill rate is up this year, it is increasing by less than what was projected during last fall’s bond and operational referenda.
This year’s mill rate is 12.00, up from last year’s 11.33.

— Following closed session, the Board unanimously approved having the Operations Committee meet to discuss support staff wages, both hourly and salaried positions, for the 2020-21 school year, using comparisons to other CESA 3 school districts.
