At Monday’s meeting, the School Board voted 5-2 to approve a referendum resolution that will appear on the April 2 ballot regarding a new elementary building. Voting against were Aaron Dunn and Andy Busch.

“BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the Unified School District of Mineral Point, Iowa and Lafayette Counties, Wisconsin that there shall be issued pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, general obligation bonds in the amount not to exceed $19,500,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of constructing and equipping a new elementary school on the existing middle/high school campus.”
