Following a special School Board meeting Wednesday, August 15, the Board voted in favor of hiring Mitch Wainwright as Interim Superintendent and High School Principal. Mr. Wainwright has been serving as MPHS Principal since the 2011-12 school year.
Voting in favor were Everett Lindsey, Andy Busch, Nate Chambers, Aaron Dunn, and Jeff Basting. Opposed were Larry Steffes and Kelly Gundlach.
The Board also mentioned there might be the possibility of issuing additive contracts to current staff members to help support with the high school principal duties.
