The community is invited to an Open House at the Options in Education Program Thursday, May 31 from 3 pm-6 pm at 4056 Highway 39, Mineral Point.

The Options in Education Program is celebrating its second year as part of the Mineral Point Unified School District.

The multi-district program is comprised of students from all over Southwest Wisconsin. Options in Education has supported 26 students through their graduation requirements by offering individualized education in the form of online learning, place-based learning, independent study, and work experience. Students are able to take the lead in building their learning plans.

Post-secondary transition is a cornerstone of the program. Students receive one-on-one assistance in determining their post-secondary employment and education goals. The Options program collaborates with local agencies, such as the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA), to connect eligible students with vocational opportunities. Students are also encouraged to begin earning post-secondary credit while they are still in high school.
