October is National Principals’ Month and the Mineral Point Unified School District is proud to salute its three principals–Brad Brogley, Elementary; Vickie Dahl, Middle; and Mitch Wainwright, High.
National Principals’ Month recognizes the essential role that principals play in making a school great.
Principals are among the hardest working, yet often least recognized individuals in education. Principals set the academic tone for their schools, and it is their vision, dedication, and determination that provide the mobilizing force for achieving student success.
Some comments from Pointer staff and students are as follows:
“Thanks Ms. Dahl and Mr. Wainwright for all you do. You keep a positive atmosphere in both buildings and have always kept the open door policy. It is greatly appreciated. Thanks again!”
“Mr. Brogley is a leader because he is the nicest, most confident, and the most grateful principal in the universe because if your feelings are hurt he’s the person that will make you feel better. You can always count on Mr. Brogley.”
“I want to thank Mitch for being so helpful to the new staff! He is very approachable and does a great job leading the high school!”
“Mr. Brogley is caring because he doesn’t say no in a mean voice and he cares about all the students. Mr. Brogley is charming because he admires his students at school and he loves his best job ever! Mr. Brogley is a good leader because he tells us awesome stuff to do. Mr. Brogley’s the best!”
“I truly believe Mitch and Vickie understand their staff, as well as the education system, more than most. They understand small schools and the great qualities they possess, as well as their short comings. They understand that students come first and doing something just to do it is a great misuse of time for both students and staff. They understand that the implementation of initiatives works best when it is driven by the people who truly understand the classroom and the needs of the students. They are, in a nutshell, caring, hardworking, understanding principals and community members that have their hearts and minds in the right place at all times. I am proud to have such great individuals who want what is best for both the students and community members running our schools. Thank you for all you do!”
“Mr. Brogley is really friendly because he always knows how to make you smile. He is really kind and funny because when I get out of my car he is always right there to say hi.”
Make sure to give these three individuals a little extra appreciation during the month of October and thank them for all they do as our district continues to strive for excellence in education.
