Mike Robinson is the agriculture teacher at Mineral Point. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in animal science with an emphasis on meat animal science. He went on to receive his Master of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in agriculture education.
He is a member of the Wisconsin Association of Agricultural Educators, National Association of Agricultural Educators, State FFA Center Board Committee member, State FFA Executive Board member, Certified Wisconsin Livestock Judge, Iowa County Livestock Committee, Mineral Point FFA Alumni, State and National FFA Alumni, Wisconsin Club Lamb Association, Wisconsin Livestock Breeders, Wisconsin Sheep Breeders, Iowa County Cattlemen, American Angus Association, Continental Dorset Association, American Hampshire Association, and Wisconsin Educational Association. Other notable educational achievements include: Local Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year in 2007, Wisconsin Association of Agriculture Educators Outstanding Agricultural Educator Section Four in 2012; Wisconsin Association of Agriculture Educators Outstanding Agricultural Program Section Four 2010, 2012, and 2013; Wisconsin Association of Agriculture Educators Outstanding Young Member Section Four 2003; Sectional Vice-President Wisconsin Association of Agriculture Educators 2004-2008. He is the Future Farmers of America advisor and the sophomore class advisor.
Mike teaches 11 different classes including Animal and Vet Science, Advanced Animal and Vet Science, Horse and Small Animal Science, Natural Resources, Greenhouse and Landscape Management, Welding, Mechanical Systems, Plants Animals and You, Agribusiness and Leadership, Advanced Studies, and 8th grade Ag. He lives and farms in Mineral Point.
