College: Amanda obtained her Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Masters of Business and Marketing Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Previous employment: Amanda is a former Business and Marketing Education Teacher at Mineral Point High School; she left teaching to stay at home with her children. Once the children were older, she was a substitute for the district and helped in all the schools and grade levels.
Family: Amanda is married to Andy and has two girls: Avery (9) and Amelia (6), a dog named Raya, a cat named Marvel, and a one-eyed fish from the Iowa County Fair (2015) named Goldie.
Hobbies/Free time interests: In my free time, I like to garden and read books. I also spend a lot of time discovering new places with my family and love to travel to places where we have never been before.
Why do you enjoy being part of #PointerNation?: After leaving the district to raise my children, I always wanted to come back. I missed the students and the staff and love having an impact on student learning. Although I am not in the classroom, I still feel honored to be a part of this wonderful community.
