What attracted you to apply in #PointerNation?:  I am from the area (Mount Horeb) and had heard that the Mineral Point Unified School District was a great place to work. I was also drawn to the small town feel of the district and impressed by the support for the arts within the Mineral Point community.

What has impressed you so far about Mineral Point Schools?:  The sense of community within the district is strong. There is a commitment to educational excellence that really allows both students and staff to thrive together as a community of learners.

Quotable: “I am enthusiastic about instilling a lasting appreciation for the performing arts in all students, which drives me to create lessons that are meaningful for the wide range of learners in our classrooms. One of my top priorities as an educator is that each of my students feel like they are a valued member of our class learning community. Everyone should feel like they have a place where they are heard, seen, and valued, and I want to create a safe and fun learning environment in my classroom that allows music to be this place for students who may not feel this sense of belonging elsewhere.”
