Following a two hour discussion from the community, the School Board voted 4-3 Monday, December 17 in favor of moving forward with drafting resolution language for an April 2 referendum for a new elementary building. Voting in favor were Tony Dahl, Everett Lindsey, Larry Steffes, and Jeff Basting. Voting against were Aaron Dunn, Andy Busch, and Nate Chambers.
Following that vote, the Board voted unanimously in favor of a resolution that said if the April referendum should fail, the Board would proceed with the existing outcome of the successful November referendum vote for a renovation/addition to the existing elementary.
There will be additional readings of the resolution language forthcoming. A final version needs to be approved by the Board January 21.
The Board will meet at 4:30 pm tonight (Tuesday) for architect interviews and selection: https://v3.boardbook.org/Public/PublicItemDownload.aspx?mk=50314539&fn=agenda.pdf
