College: Heather earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education (K-8) and Art Education (K-12) from Clarke College in Dubuque in 2007. She also earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Clarke in 2016.
Previous employment: Since 2016, Heather has been the K-5 Art Teacher at Winskill Elementary in Lancaster. From 2011-16, she was a 2nd Grade Teacher at Saint Clement School, also in Lancaster. 2010-11 saw her working as an art teacher at Eleanor Roosevelt Middle School in Dubuque, and in 2009-10 she was an art teacher at Hempstead High School, also in Dubuque. In 2008-09, she held a long term substitute teaching placement at Mineral Point High School in art.
Spouse: Kevin
Hobbies/Free time interests: I enjoy visiting new places, exploring the shops in small towns, going to parks and taking photos of things in nature. I also enjoy gardening and most any creative or artistic project.
What attracted you to apply at MP Schools? I know firsthand how dedicated and knowledgeable the teachers, staff, and administrators of Mineral Point are. The support of parents and the community are also invaluable in making MPSD the wonderful learning environment it is.
