Joelle Doye is the Communications Director for the Mineral Point Unified School District. In 2006, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in Secondary Education: Social Science Comprehensive with emphases in History, Geography, and Economics.
Joelle is a member of the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA), National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA), and is a Registered Athletic Administrator through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
She serves as President of the Mineral Point Kiwanis, Vice President of the Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce, Ex-Officio of the District’s Excellence in Education Endowment Fund, and a Director on the WSPRA State Board.
In the fall of 2015, she was the recipient of the Holtshopple Scholarship Award from WSPRA as the top up and coming school PR person in Wisconsin. The District also earned a state WSPRA Award of Merit for its Facebook page.
In 2016, she earned a NSPRA Seminar Scholarship to attend the National Convention in Chicago as one of the rising stars in the country and was named to NSPRA’s 35 Under 35 list, honoring the top school pr professionals under age 35 in the nation.
In 2017, she accepted four WSPRA Awards for the District: an Award of Excellence for the District’s quarterly print newsletter White & Blue Review, and Awards of Merit for #PointerNation social media campaign, Middle School Scoop newsletter, and the District at a Glance Infographic. She also earned a Chattie Award for her efforts with #K12PRChat on Twitter.
She has presented at conferences for NSPRA, WSPRA, Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance, and the State Education Conference by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards/Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators/Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials.
She is a native of Dodgeville and currently resides there.
