Mineral Point wrestlers came home from the WIAA State meet this past weekend at the Kohl Center with two second place finishes, and one sixth place.

Senior Frank Baker took 6th at 132 lbs.
In the championship round one he won by decision over Tim Bauer of Spencer 10-6.
Jon Mudlaff of Random Lake defeated him in the quarterfinal 10-5.
During consolation round one, he won by decision over Sam Wenzel of Stratford 6-1.
In the consolation semifinal, he was defeated by a tie breaker 2-1 by Payton Hall of Princeton.
Baker dropped the fifth place match 1-0 to Mudlaff.

Senior Ross Siegenthaler was the state runner-up at 138 lbs.
In the championship round one, he decisioned Hunter Shuler of Kenosha Christian Life 7-2.
The quarterfinal saw him major decision Grant Fischer of Gillett/Suring 16-3.
He won the semifinal by a 10-5 decision over Bradon Roen of Riverdale.
The championship match was lost 5-3 to Wilder Wichman of Johnson Creek.

Junior Scott Pittz also was a state runner-up at 152 lbs.
In the championship round one, he decisioned Alex Zeitler of Gillett/Suring 5-0.
The quarterfinal saw him decision Zach Coffeen of Laconia 6-2.
He won the semifinal 4-2 over Micah Johnson of Boyceville.
The championship match was lost 3-1 in sudden victory to Ross Withington of Westby.
