The Mineral Point Boys Basketball team held its awards banquet Sunday, April 10.
Coach Dan Burreson said this 2015-16 season was full of ups and downs.
“When things went against us, this team pulled together and worked harder. I’m very proud of their effort,” said Burreson.
Award winners included:
Chance Wendhausen: First Team SWAL All-Conference, Honorable Mention Dubuque Telegraph Herald All-Area, First Team Dodgeville Chronicle All-Area, Points Leader (402), Assists Leader (84), Steals Leader (39), Free Throw Percentage Leader (74%), Free Throw Ladder Champion, and Team Most Valuable Player.
Jack Warrick: First Team SWAL All-Conference, Honorable Mention Dubuque Telegraph Herald All-Area, First Team Dodgeville Chronicle All-Area, Rebounds Leader (291), Blocks Leader (75), Field Goal Percentage Leader (68%).
Dylan MacGilvra: Honorable Mention SWAL All-Conference, Honorable Mention Dodgeville Chronicle All-Area, 2015-16 Captain.
Jake Gorgen: Team Most Improved.
Senior Awards: Dylan MacGilvra, Dane Pfaff, Nate Eisenzimmer, Logan Bidlingmaier, Justin Toay.
