Previous employment: I taught preschool for 14 years at a group child care center in Verona. When my second child was born I became an in home licensed childcare provider. That is where I spent the last 13 years.
Hobbies/Free time interests: I enjoy, camping, boating, gardening, and snowmobiling. I love to be outside. I also enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends.
Spouse/children names: I have been married to my husband, Bret, for 21 years. We have a son, Kaleb, who is a senior at Iowa-Grant and a daughter, Arianna, who is in 8th grade at Iowa-Grant as well.
What attracted you to apply at MP Schools?: Living not far from Mineral Point in Cobb, I have always heard a lot of positive feedback about the Mineral Point School District from both families and staff. I was looking for a job in a school district where everyone felt like family and the district as a whole felt like a community. I believe I have found that in Mineral Point.
Quotable: My love for children is why I’m interested in this position. I could not think of a more perfect job for me as I embrace a career change. The joy on a child’s face as they reach new goals and master new skills is so heart warming. The positive energy a child puts off is contagious and I can’t help but smile when around it. Along with being around children, I have extensive clerical experience. I thrive on organizing, scheduling, and maintaining a properly functioning office environment. This job will be the best of both worlds for me.
I am definitely a “people person,” finding it very easy to interact and communicate with others. I am very comfortable becoming a team player. I also am known for going the extra mile in a business or organization and taking the initiative to become a leader working with others, ensuring all needs are met. I am able to communicate with a friendly, upbeat and professional attitude, always keeping in mind a “customer first” approach.
