Monday, 4th graders made fleece tie blankets to donate to children in need at area hospitals as part of a community service project. “This beloved project first began last year and was a favorite of students, staff, and parents,” said teacher Lynn Ross. “This year we have invited parents and grandparents to help out with the project. Our families have donated fleece material and have made monetary donations to purchase fleece. We are projecting we’ll be making 35 blankets. Wow! Last year we made 30, so this project is already growing in popularity.”
